Like we said before, The Real Housewives of Orange County came out with a bang, kicking off its seventh season premiere last Tuesday. In the past seven seasons, we've seen our fair share of cast members. Husbands have come but more often gone. Faces have been lifted, tummies have been tucked. So what can we expect this season from our favorite orange ladies?
1. Tamra downsizes: no, not her house! The former 34 Double D reality star has had her implants removed, and Bravo has conveniently caught the whole thing on camera! But Tamra's okay with it: "It's been one of the best things I have ever done in my life. I feel a lot more confident without my implants. [With my implants] I felt like [my chest] was the first thing everybody looked at."
2. The newest cast mate: Heather Dubrow, a former actress turned mom and housewife to a Newport beach plastic surgeon. Heather says of her experience on the show with the other ladies, "I would say out of everyone Alexis and I have had some friction, [but] I was pleasantly surprised how well we all got along." Ooo we sense some season-long tension building already! And here's what her fellow cast mate Tamra had to say: "I was a little bit worried that she wasn't going to fit in with the group, because she was so nice, so classy and yet so elegant. And with the girls on the show, we don't always roll like that." Sounds like someone is trying to win over the new girl!
3. The biggest surprise makeup in OC history: Tamra and Gretchen make up! What the what!? Who saw that one coming? Tamra says of their enemy state: "It was time to build a bridge and get over it. In the process of doing that we realized we really like each other." Hmm..we're really skeptical about this one. We're definitely going to file this one in the "frenemy" file until we see more of the season unfold.
4. New rivalry: Tamra and Gretchen may have recently buried the hatchet, but now Vicki's ready to take over the anti-Gretch crusade. And Gretchen, of course, won't take it sitting down! "Vicki had a lot to say about [her BF] Slade and about his child support issues…I just feel like she was being a hypocrite—[her new boyfriend] had a similar situation as Slade yet she was still very judgmental towards Slade." We may not agree with Gretchen with her choice in guys (Slade, still? Seriously?), but there's no question that she has a point here, as she did with Tamra. You go Gretchen! We dig the fact that she's not afraid to call out the other ladies when she's being bullied.
5. Adios, Donn: This is by far the saddest component of the new season--Donn and Vicki are divorcing and he's moved out. We will miss you, Don! Instead, we'll be introduced to Vicki's new boy toy, Brooks...who awkwardly looks a lot like the former Mr. Gunvalson...let's see if this one can keep her love tank full.
